Origin of the GunCraze RPG
This is where it all started, 18 years ago a group of friendsand I sat down, fresh from a legendary fantasy campaign wanting something different. What came out of it was GunCraze, a tiny ruleset for running high-action roleplaying games. Several sessions were played, and everyone was excited and passionate about this homebrew ruleset. But time passes, and people moved on.
Several years later I was with a different group of friends and we were using a very clunky, confusing, RPG System to play a Modern/Sci-Fi campaign. When people began to get frustrated, I brought GunCraze up. The players agreed to try it, as anything was better than what we were using. The players immediately thought GunCraze was fantastic and exciting. Over the next year, the rules ballooned from a tiny ruleset to roughly 100 pages filled with awesome, action-packed ideas. A company was purchased and in a year, life happened and GunCraze had to be put by the wayside.
Speed forward another 10 years, 2022, and I am sitting down with another group of friends, deciding what to do as our current campaign was becoming hard to get everyone to. I pulled out my GunCraze files. My friends were instantly floored. The concepts and simplicity were so amazing: the players felt like Action Heroes. It was this third round when I decided GunCraze was special enough to bring to the world. I told myself there will be no backing down. I will push forward, always forward to bring this amazing Roleplaying System to everyone that needs a truly special RPG in their lives.
Since then, the GunCraze Roleplaying Came Core Rulebook has become absolutely loaded with awesome rules for almost any Modern/Near-Future Sci-Fi campaign, and I continue pushing forward to make this a game by the community, for the community.
