1. Purpose

The GunCraze Open Gaming License (GC-OGL) exists to allow creators to publish compatible content using the GunCraze Action Tabletop Roleplaying System, while protecting the GunCraze brand, setting, and future products.

This license is designed to:

• Encourage third-party creativity

• Keep core mechanics open and interoperable

• Protect Product Identity and unreleased works

• Ensure fair compensation only after commercial success

2. System Definition

The GunCraze Action Tabletop Roleplaying System (GATRS) is the underlying tabletop game engine used across multiple GunCraze products, including but not limited to:

• GunCraze RPG Core Rulebook

• GunCraze Miniature Battles

• GunCraze Street Wars (future product)

• GunCraze Army Battles (future product)

• Any derivative or future products using the same core system

3. Scope of This License

This Open Gaming License specifically applies to:

• The GunCraze RPG Core Rulebook

• All roleplaying game rules and mechanics contained therein

• Any rules or mechanics that cross over into other GunCraze products solely because the same system is used

This license does not automatically apply to:

• Game modes

• Scenarios

• Campaign structures

• Mass-battle formats

• Miniature-specific or army-scale rules
  unless those elements are explicitly derived from the RPG rules.

• This license does not require the Licensor or any Publisher to distribute Open Game Content free of charge.

4. Definitions

Open Game Content (OGC)

Open Game Content includes:

• Game mechanics

• Rules procedures

• Dice systems

• Numerical formulas

• Combat resolution methods

• Talents, skills, attributes, and mechanical effects

• Any mechanical modifications or extensions derived from the GunCraze RPG rules
  
  

Product Identity

Product Identity includes, but is not limited to:

• “GunCraze”

• “GunCraze Action Tabletop Roleplaying System”

• “GATRS”

• All logos, trademarks, and trade dress

• Artwork, illustrations, and graphic design

• Setting lore, narrative text, and fiction

• Characters, factions, locations, and story elements

• Product names and titles

• Any unreleased or future GunCraze products

Product Identity is not Open Game Content.

Artwork & Visual Assets Clarification

All artwork, illustrations, graphic elements, and visual assets are designated as Product Identity and are not Open Game Content, regardless of how they are created.

The GunCraze Open Gaming License does not grant or imply any ownership, copyright, or exclusive rights in such visual materials. Publishers are responsible for ensuring they possess the appropriate rights to any artwork they use or distribute.

5. Grant of License

Action Tactics Roleplay Gaming LLC grants a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual license to use, modify, and publish Open Game Content from the GunCraze RPG Core Rulebook, subject to the terms of this license.

6. Publisher Size & Cost Structure

A. Small Publishers (10 or fewer employees and contractors combined)

• Cost: Free

• Royalties: None

• Ownership:
  Publishers retain full ownership of all original content they create.

• No obligation to release original material as open, except where required under Section 7.

B. Large Publishers (11 or more employees and contractors combined)

• Cost: Free until revenue threshold is met

• Royalty Trigger:
  When gross annual revenue from GunCraze-based products reaches $60,000 USD

• Royalty Rate:
  3% of gross sales revenue above $60,000 USD

• Payment Recipient:
  Action Tactics Roleplay Gaming LLC

Royalties apply only after the threshold is exceeded.

7. Required Declaration of Content

All publishers must clearly declare within their product:

• What portions are Open Game Content

• What portions are Product Identity
  
  

Automatic Open Content Rule

Any mechanical content derived from or based on GunCraze RPG rules is automatically considered Open Game Content, even if not explicitly declared.

Fallback Protection

If no declaration is made:

• GunCraze mechanics remain Open Game Content

• All original material is treated as Product Identity by default

8. Compatibility Language

Publishers may state that their product is:

• “Compatible with the GunCraze RPG Core Rulebook”

• “Compatible with the GunCraze Action Tabletop Roleplaying System”

Such statements must not imply endorsement, sponsorship, or official status.

9. Prohibited Uses

Publishers may not:

• Claim ownership of GunCraze Product Identity

• Use GunCraze logos or branding without permission

• Present products as official GunCraze releases

• Reprint GunCraze narrative text, lore, or characters

• Suggest endorsement by Action Tactics Roleplay Gaming LLC

10. Attribution Requirement

All products using this license must include the following notice:

“This product uses the GunCraze Open Gaming License and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Action Tactics Roleplay Gaming LLC.”

11. Termination

This license terminates automatically if:

• The terms are violated

• Required royalties are not paid after triggering

Previously published works remain licensed unless termination results from fraud or willful non-payment.

12. Versioning

Publishers may continue using the version of the GC-OGL under which their product was originally released, even if newer versions are issued.

13. Governing Law

This license is governed by the laws of the United States of America.
